Hard Candy Recipe

NOTE: Adult Supervision is necessary when working with hot sugar!

🍬 Homemade Hard Candy with Flavoring
      (A Candy Thermometer is necessary for this recipe!)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 1–2 drops flavoring (e.g., Green Apple, Strawberry, Cola)

  • Optional: Food coloring

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or use candy molds.

  2. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan.

  3. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

  4. Stop stirring and let the mixture reach 150°C (hard crack stage).

  5. Remove from heat, wait until bubbling stops.

  6. Add food coloring and flavoring, stir gently.

  7. Pour into molds or onto tray. Let cool completely!.

  8. Break into pieces and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
